Who would have guessed that he'd be on the run from his own family, well...he technically was always on the run from his family, biological family, but that was a moot point. Or was it? Yeah. It was really a moot point.
Leaning against an alley-way way, he took a much needed breath of air. Where had it all gone wrong? Oh. Right. When some idiot decided to get some guys together, ambush him, and steal his ring. Leaving the short boy to take the blame. Yeah. Pick on the short one.
Now his family thought he'd taken the ring for some nefarious reason. Bah! Him, nefarious? It was kind of funny, actually...it was always the short, cute ones, wasn't it? It kind of hurt, though...the fact that the Spiaggia were being so quick to jump on him for something he wasn't capable of doing. He was just too...short to do something so nefarious!
This wasn't the time to feel sorry for himself, he had to, obviously, prove his innocence. He glanced towards towards his empty box animal's box and sighed, he'd sent the falcon after his attackers and could only hope it hadn't been found...he had to avoid the Spiaggia first, though. "Argh...if they find out...I will never live this down. Ever." It was a little something he'd been working on lately...in case he ever had to go undercover or anything...he was probably the best choice for anything like that, being...not tempermental like Rin or a womanizer like Raitaro.
Using the Rank-B ring he still carried with him, he poured mist flames through the ring and began his work. He could only hope he didn't run into Rai when he was done and was flirted with. That would be...interesting to say the least. He paid close attention to all the details he needed, looking in a piece of broken glass leaning up against a wall. It looked like it had once been a window maybe?
Once finished, he inspected himself in the make-shift mirror. Medium length wavy red hair, green eyes hidden by an illusion of hazel, after a moment more of inspection, he altered the jaw line of his illusion before paying attention to the details on the rest of him. Narrower limbs, slightly larger hips, narrow shoulders... a slight drop in height, but probably not near enough to make too much a difference. Height changes were hard to do and without a Mare ring to help in that, nobody would haveexpected the short mafioso to go shorter, right? Or would they...thinking he'd go shorter because they assumed he'd go taller? Bah. Or would they expect...never mind.
He spun lightly in place, making sure the illusion was covering his entire body. Well, her now. He had to admit, he'd done a pretty good job on this illusion. Maybe too good a job...however, at best, he could hope it led his pursuers astray, if only for a couple of days while he tracked the thieves. He worried only about Rin and her Varia-training now. You know, if he wasn't being threatened with going to Vendicare prison, it would have been fun...
A wing-shaped piece of glass settled over his eye as his box falcon, wherever it currently was, activated it's ability to work as Sheeka's eyes. Thank god it was alright...too bad he had no clue where it was at the moment... He shook his head, removing the monocle-type item from his eye as it vanished in mist flames. Now he just had to figure out where it had been where it had tracked the thieves.
Concentration was key for this. He had to maintain the illusion. Taking one last obsessive look over his details, including the lolita-style dress he'd illusioned on himself, he stepped out of the alley and through a crowd of people, walking passed one of the Spiaggia agents...wait for it...oh he hadn't seen him or noticed it was him. Grazie a Dio!
He could only hope he found the idiots before the Spiaggia found him.
Let the hunt begin. . Sure, Rin wasn't some veteran of the Spiaggia family and she hadn't known many of it's members as long as she would have liked. However, the young woman liked to consider herself a good judge of character and no matter how she tried, she couldn't quite rid her mind of the experiences she'd had with Rai and Sheeka over they past few weeks. She simply couldn't wrap her mind around it. Sure, Rai could be an idiot and he didn't think things through, but they had seemed so close to one another. Unfortunately, it seemed not everyone agreed and many were rather convinced that Sheeka had simply shown his true colors once more, as a former thief and street urchin.
Now the kid had vanished without a trace and the Spiaggia agents were combing the city looking for him, which was why Rai actions had surprised her when he had pulled her aside. Now perched one of the rooftops, she continued to scan the area silent, Rin couldn't help think back to when he'd asked her to find the boy first. She didn't know what the boss had up his sleeve, but she wasn't one to disobey an order when it was came directly. Besides, Rai had been on to something and with her training, Rin had the highest chance of locating the boy and bringing him back, hopefully, before things got anymore out of hand than they already were. It didn't hurt, Sheeka might have had the ring and could have been considered very dangerous to those that were trying to bring him back.
Here's where the hard part began. Rin needed to use what she already knew of Sheeka to predict his moves, since profiling would likely be the only clues she had to actually pinpointing the boy. Once on the streets, he had some advantage, considering what he'd told them about his past. The fact, that Sheeka was also one of the most mature and logical members of the Gaurdians would mean he would be thinking ahead. His powers as the Mist Gaurdian would also aid him, so what would she have done, if she was being chase by the mafia and had to the power of illusions?
Well, for starters, she would have changed her appearance. That was basic for anyone fleeing or going undercover, but Mist users were notoriously tricky. Sheeka also had enough talent from what she'd seen to hide his ring, and probably his entire appearance into something else, moving freely without anyone realizing who he really was. It wouldn't make things easy, but now that made everyone a suspect and glancing down at the crowd below, she couldn't simply stop everyone to check. For all she knew, he was running around disguised as just another Spiaggia agent or some common school kid. She needed a strategy to find him first without anyone else realizing what she was doing, but that was easier said than done.
Think. What was the one thing no one expected him to do? What traits would be so painfully obvious that no one would think to question it and overlook him?... It was then that something clicked in Rin's mind. No, that was just insane. Sheeka was smart, but surely, he wouldn't go that far... would he? Oh dear, if he was as desperate as she believed him to be, then there really was no telling what the kid would be pushed to do. She needed to find him and fast. Slipping off the roof and bounding onto another, Rin followed from above, her crimson eyes searching the crowd. Continuing to move from the shadows, she keep her guard up, searching for anyone that might have stood out or was familiar. She needed to find Sheeka, if nothing else, for Rai's sake and Sheeka's as the few real friends she had in this town. Something like this did not happen everyday, and it was something that he would have liked to avoid or at least not take part of. He would rather be in his 'lab' that Rai had provided for him than to hunt down one of their own. But because he was the smart one, everybody had expected an answer from him, though it isnt as easy as everybody thinks.
And Rai, Ken thought to himself, how was he taking this? Of course he didnt think that it was an impostor, he was the boss. Everyone is family no matter what happens, but Ken was smart enough to believe that it wasnt always true. And If that was the case, why would he attack the Spiaggia? Had news spread that their family had been forming already? He shrugged his shoulders thinking that it could be possible. A family going after one of the strongest set of rings would be a big thing in the mafia world. Ken shook his head after all these thoughts had wandered into his mind, thinking that he needed to get on track.
He sat on the roof and laid back looking at the clouds. Despite his lazy attitude, he really did want to find Sheeka. But his only fear was finding out what happened once Ken found him. He didnt know Sheeka on a personal level, only the fact that he was incredibly short and he really loved short animals had only given a short description of him. But now after everything that had happened, Ken wondered if that was just a front for his real nature.
Ken smirked and stood on the edge of the roof, looking towards the town. He stretched his arms and legs, looking around maybe just hoping to find him but a stroke of luck. It was always Ken to find the light side of any situation but he knew that most of the members wouldnt see it as a joking matter. He shrugged his shoulders and put on his glasses, reading every interface that came through his screen. Flipping through toggles on the glasses, he realized that he wouldnt be able to find Sheeka unless he used his flame in an medium to high output. And because he was a mist user, it was going to be extra hard for Ken to sense him. He jumped across from rooftop to rooftop, smiling. "I really hate mist flames."

It was a good thing that Japan was filled with otaku, as obnoxious as girls trying to cosplay could be, Sheeka was grateful for the otaku culture throughout Japan. To be perfectly honest, how many of the Spiaggia would even expect Sheeka to look otaku-ish? As far as they knew, his only obsession was with guns and stuffed animals. Note to self; if they even so much as hurt a hair on any of his stuffed animals...oooh they were going to get it.
Not that they'd find anything of importance in his apartment, of course. Just lots of stuffed animals, several gun cases without guns in them - they were either with him or in a stuffed animal, nobody expects the guns to be in the stuffed animals, and a single picture of his mother from when he was younger. It was the last thing he had to remember her by besides the old-looking stuffed giraffe usually sitting on the shelf next to it. In all honesty, if it weren't for that picture of his mother...he would have forgotten what she looked like besides the fact that he did indeed take after his mother in the appearance department.
He'd only been on the run for an entire day and he was already, honestly, sick of it. He'd only spent a year on the streets. If Alessandro hadn't picked him up, he would have returned home...where he probably wouldn't have even had a home anymore. Did he still have a place there? Probably not. And if this continued on, the only place he probably had a place at was Vendicare. It'd be an interesting field trip and all, but to stay there? Yeah...lets not.
He knew he had Spiaggia on his tail and probably Rin, as well. He wasn't worried about the former at the moment, just the latter. She was trained Varia. He was just lucky that his illusions were good enough to fool people at the moment. How long could he fool the Varia-trained Rin, though? Now that he thought about it, he also probably had to worry about Kentaro being on his tail...the Sky guardian would likely have something to detect flames...he could only hope he wasn't using enough flames to be detected. He couldn't think of thoughts like that, though...he had to maintain his illusion. Stay calm. Ironically, enough...he was kind of more worried about what Rin and Kentaro would say if either saw through his illusion. Or better yet, what Raitaro would think. Probably ask if he was pretty...or something. Hmmn. He had to have some faith in his leader though...some.
Now-hazel eyes closed beneath red locks of hair as he tried to figure out where his Mist Falcon could possibly be. He should have been keeping its ability activated for as long as he could to figure out where it was going...he only had a vague idea of where it was, which wasn't exactly a good thing. However, he was also using a number of flames to keep his illusion up. It was the best he could do at the moment. As he recalled, he hadn't actually slept the night before, being on the run and all...and the last thing he'd eaten was an apple taken from a fruit stand this morning. It wasn't as if a few nights without sleep was going to kill him, he'd done it before anyway. Same with eating.
Keeping up his concentration on his illusion, he multi-tasked and began searching for any sign of his falcon in the nearby area,as well as trying to make sure that none of the guardians were in the area. He didn't have a problem with the regular agents, but he wasn't sure if he had it in him to fight his family members. It had been tracking the people who had his ring and who were framing him and he knew it was alright. Now he just had to find the falcon...stupid bird! Post by Shandou Iroka on Jul 2, 2012 14:19:34 GMT -5
The man know as Iroka Shandou was also on the hunt for Sheeka, but not becaue he thought he was a traitor, but also not because he didn't. He was after the truth. He would find Sheeka, but he would not kill him. If Sheeka was responsible for the attack then he would simply remove the ring from him and let him go. If he was not responsible he would find who was and destroy them. No-one stole a ring from the Spiaggia. He might not be most loyal to them at times what with his wandering off and doing things his own way, but the rings were important. He knew the struggles the previous guardians had gone through. The only reasons Sheeka woulds survive would be because Iroka had liked the illusionists mother. She had been a very nice and understanding person or at least in regards to him. They'd been quite close. He'd actually been sad when she left, but believed she was free to choose.
"Hunting down an illusionist will not be easy." he whispered as he ran, leapt and often cartwheeled across rooftops. Tracking down someone who could hide their appearence and change things would be difficult. All he could hope was that Sheeka wasn't fully experienced yet and left a few flaws he could see. His eyes were very sharp, but it would be truly hard to see through an illusion. If sheeka hadn't stolen the mare ring his illusions wouldn't be perfect, but if he had....this would be very difficult. Sheeka wasn't 100% experienced as far as he was aware so perhaps he could only change basic appearence details and not things like height. If that was true then he'd have to look for short people. "I hope this works."
"SHEEKA I"M GONNA FIND YA" he shouted happily glad he had thought up a decent plan or one he hoped would work. Maybe this shouting would work too. It was worth a shot. "BUT I WON'T HURT YA. I OWE YA MUM THAT MUCH!."

Sayomi snickered as she tapped her parasol on her shoulder. She decided to go with her black sundress with a indigo colored bow in the chest area. She hummed a peaceful tune as a mist doll, dressed exactly like her but without a the red hair band and long blue hair as opposed to her own short one. She made it so the doll was carrying a bag for her.
"SHEEKA I"M GONNA FIND YA!" Sayomi and the human doll both turned over in the direction of the screaming. "BUT I WON'T HURT YA. I OWE YA MUM THAT MUCH!" Sayomi cackled as she then started to walk over to the source of the scream. She recognizes it at the Primary Spiaggia Guardian.
Speaking of finding Sheeka, she was informed that he ran off with the Mist Mare Ring. No no no no, that will not do. That ring was reserved for her and no one runs off with her possessions. Sayomi decided to use Shandou as an ally in her endeavors.
"Hello~" Sayomi said as she walked up to Sandou. Her human doll bowing politely. Sayomi picked up the bag she was carrying and then the doll faded away back into mist flames. "I see the search for Sheeka is going well as observed?"

Post by Rin Shirayama on Jul 2, 2012 19:27:31 GMT -5
[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,350,true][STYLE=float: left; width: 100px; height: 100px; margin-right: 5px; margin-top: 5px;][/style][/classy][STYLE=width: 400px; text-align: justify; font: normal 11px arial; line-height: 90%; padding-bottom: 10px] If Rin had to wager, most of the Spiaggia agents had fanned out across the city searching for missing Mist Gaurdian by now. It was a common mafia practice that used numbers, but against someone like Sheeka, Rin doubted it would have little effect. Her only contentment was that the strategy would keep the grunts out of her way, until she was able to find the boy. Of course, unlike them, she didn't need fancy tricks or gadgets to find someone she'd spent the past couple weeks getting to know and studying. No, what Rin had was far more dangerous, an instinctive ability to deduce and predict her opponent, as though it were little more than a common chess game. She hadn't spent these past few weeks learning and studying her comrades for nothing now.
By simple process of elimination, it was apparent he would avoid the less crowded areas, where flames would be easier to locate and pinpoint. No, he needed to go somewhere more crowded, somewhere any distortion in his illusion wouldn't be so easily picked up, even if he wasn't wearing his ring. There he could easily be missed and vanish behind the many faces, a common trait among Mist users. Given that he was presumably on foot and had only been gone for about a day, that narrowed the search radius down quite a bit. Among that area, there was one in particular that seemed to stand out in Rin's mind as a likely location and that was exactly where she was headed.
Landing on the edge of a building, Rin's crimson eyes continued to scan the flamboyant Gothic dresses and Lolita-style attire that was so common to the Japanese Otaku culture. Now, where was he? Instead of automatically looking for the familiar brown haired boy that she had come to know, Rin's focus was on the young girls, especially the smaller ones. Why? The most obvious reason, no one would suspect someone with height issues to pose as someone even shorter than he already was. He might could hide behind an illusions, but underneath Sheeka was still someone Rin had come to know, his habits and mannerisms would not change so easily.
After a few more minutes, Rin pushed off the roof, landing in the nearby back alley and started forward through the crowd. Namigiri was concealed and worn over her shoulder, in case things went bad, but for now she kept the black fur-lined hood up to conceal her features and her hair. Of course, even the Varia would have blended in compare to this gathering, making her way over to where a young girl seemed to glancing up, searching for something. Unlike the rest of the slightly obnoxious girls that wandered around, this one seemed to move with more purpose, searching for something and acutely aware of her surroundings, which seemed to add up to only thing - Sheeka.
"Voi! Looking for someone, miss?" Rin called out in question, allowing her boots to come to a halt once she was a few feet behind him, though made no effort to remove the hood. It was clear from her tone that the feigned question needed no answer. "... We need to talk, Sheeka-san." She explained seriously, lifting a hand to push the hood back, to allow the long white pony tail to fall, the familiar black ribbon keeping tied back as those crimson eyes settled onto the figure of the young girl. Rin couldn't explain why completely, but she knew Sheeka when she saw him, even behind that illusion. However, while her stance remained calm, the girl couldn't be certain he wouldn't lash out at her and prepared herself for the worst, should he refuse to be reasonable about all this. Though he had to admit that he wasnt really searching as hard as he could have. He figured that one of the other guardians would find him way before he could, even with his glasses on. He sat on the edge of a roof and looked out towards the city, still looking around with his scouter. "Come on Sheeka, give me something." If he was at least close to him, Ken would easily be able to find him, since the range on them were about 150 yards. And he since he was a mist user, he would probably be disguised as an illusion would more of a pain in his ass, one of the many reasons he hates mist flames.
He sat back and thought about how the family was ever going to catch him and thought that maybe he would come back and explained himself. He knew it really didnt make sense, but if he was really innocent, he would explain himself to Rai, since he was probably the one who was taking it the hardest. He couldnt understand how he was feeling, since being a boss must be tough work. Though he just thought of something, something that he has never felt before. Ken stood and wiped out of the rocks and dirt out of his hair. He thought about how Rai must be feeling about all this and decided that it was something that a boss shouldnt have to go through and being his right-hand, Ken thought that he would bring Sheeka if he ever found him to Rai to explain himself. He smirked to himself, thinking that he was becoming a true guardian, wanting to protect Rai and nothing else.
Ken found new will with trying to find him, though he wanted to find him fast cause he knew that this feeling will die down in a few minutes. He laughed to himself as he raced towards the rooftops, still looking around.

Jae was just casually jogging along the neighborhood, breaking a sweat after the 5th lap around. He was wearing a hoodie with its sleeves torn off with a white undershirt underneath and some basketball shorts. Inside the hoodie pocket were his two box weapons and his ring. The tranquilizer gun was a tad too excessive for a jog and a tad too obvious, so he decided to leave it at home.
During his sixth lap around the neighborhood, he spotted someone. Or, to be more precise, heard someone. That "voi" was unmistakably Rin's and he jumped as soon as he heard it. Curiosity being his most prominent weakness, he traced the voice and came across her and another girl. However, what Rin said next was unsettling to say the least. She just called that girl Sheeka... Huh... Wait, then...
After putting two and two together, he decided, against his better judgement, to pop out of nowhere. He put his hands in his hoodie pockets and casually walked over to the two. "Ohh, Rin! What a coincidence! I couldn't help but overhear... Sheeka! Bro, why didn't you tell me you were a Mist flame user?"

Part of him wondered if there was something internal going on at the moment, however...he didn't have time to dwell on that. Once he found who he was looking for, he'd return with a perfectly good explanation and no need to worry about finding the culprit. It...would be the least he could do. Everything was falling apart and it was all his fault.
It was that momentary lapse into the habit of self-blame Sheeka had developed after all the years of blame placed upon him for his mother's untimely death was what caused his flames to flicker slightly, the illusion wavering if but for a second before he returned it to its original grandeur. Damn. That was close. He had to think happy. Thoughts...happy thoughts. What was happy at this exact moment in time again? Oh right. Nothing. Bah. Lets not think of all, just think of what he'd do to the being who was trying to ruin his life. As much as he hated to admit it, when he held a grudge...he held a grudge.
"SHEEKA I"M GONNA FIND YA" |
[/i] That voice...was he found already? No. Of course not. They were screaming about finding him. Stay calm and concentrate. He's looking for a short boy. Short boy. Short boy. He'd looking for a really short boy. But why was he screaming about his mum? Obviously, he knew since they were both previous generation...no time to dwell on that. He had to find that bloody bird. "Voi! Looking for someone, miss?"[/i] Oh dear. He thought he'd had a little bit more time to avoid Rin while he was on the prowl. Damn. Wait. She knew it was him before she approached him. She wasn't attacking...that meant she was at least going to listen to what he had to say at the moment, but that could be because she was working for Raitaro. No matter what it was said he had done, he knew that somebody he currently saw as a big brother would at least give him the benefit of the doubt, right? . "... We need to talk, Sheeka-san."[/i] "Yes. We do," Sheeka answered quietly. "One question...how'd you know? I thought I did a pretty good job on this illusion." Too good a job, actually. "And even without my Mare ring too..." Clearly, although relaxed, he wasn't letting the illusion meld away and was balanced on the balls of his feet. If he had to run, he would. Sheeka! Bro, why didn't you tell me you were a Mist flame user?"[/i] Sheeka pressed a finger to his lips and practically hissed, "Shhh. Quiet down or you'll lead them to me," he stated quietly. "I thought I told you...but yeah." He fidgeted awkwardly, his female illusion now under the scrutiny of two people he knew. He was definitely never going to live it down now. Never. He now turned his attention back to Rin. Jae was there whether the mist user wanted him there or not. "Just so you know, it wasn't me. I haven't done anything wrong, but once I find who's trying to get me out of the picture...they're going to see how much /wrong/ I can do," Sheeka stated rather vehemently. For somebody so cute, even under he illusion of a rather cute girl, he could hold some grudge. He glanced towards Jae and smiled, tilting his head to the side. "Somebody decided to steal my Mare ring and used a, probably horribly made, illusion of me to turn the spiaggia against me. You've kind of just dragged yourself into this...sorry," he gave a sheepish smile and a small shrug. He looked positively serious for his next announcement. "You see this illusion? It's a girl. Tell nobody...otherwise I'm going to have to kill you both."You know, it would have been a lot more intimidating if he hadn't done such a good job on his illusion... Sheeka glanced upward as his mist falcon soared over head before diving and a lighting down on to top of Sheeka's head. "There you are, you stupi...ow! Don't peck me! Did you find them?" Screech. He was pretty sure that was a yes...The bird pecked his head again for good measure. "Yes, well...ignoring my obnoxious - ow - bird," Sheeka said, glaring up at the smug looking box animal who began preening its misty feathers. Obviously, the two didn't get along too well... "Since the incident, I've had my box animal on their trail...it's confirmed my suspicions that there are several of them, as well as an illusionist with them." The 'girl reported simply, looking both annoyed, angry, and sheepish. Annoyed and angry that his ring was stolen and he was being framed, and sheepish that he'd allowed it to happen. "I'm really sorry about what's going on, Rin. It's all my fault that this is happening." He really did seem to be rather distressed over it all. "How's Raitaro been taking this so far?" he questioned. Iroka was sort of surprised to have Sayomi walk up to him so casually. He'd dropped down to the streets to run a bit down there and she'd obviously seen him and worked out the ideal time to intercept him with a walking pace. Very good timing she must have. He'd had to come skidding to a halt on his hands, which was quite unusual to watch. He flipped onto his feet and looked at the young girl. If he remembered rightly, and he doubted he did because of his bad memory, she was a mist flame user. He felt that her name began with S, but couldn't for the life of him remember it. He decided to go with calling her a nickname, he generally called everyone by a nickname.
"Hey Ningyo." he said deciding to name her after traditional japanese dolls. It worked as a nickname for her he felt. "As for Sheeka....its not easy. Mist users are the hardest to track. How would you use your flames to hide yourself and where?" He was determined to find Sheeka and get the truth. He'd been close to only a couple of the former members and Sheeka's mum was one of them. In fact, if he thought about it, she was the only mist user he'd been close to. "I don't think he stole the ring. There would be no point, but the only way to find out is to find him."

"Hey Ningyo." Sayomi did not speak with the Cloud Guardian often but she did hear that he had a nicknaming habit. "As for Sheeka....its not easy. Mist users are the hardest to track. How would you use your flames to hide yourself and where?" Sayomi lit her ring for a second with a snicker.
"It's how we've lived. Due to the flames low density and offensive capabilities, we've chose to live by hiding in our creations." Mist flames stopped pouring out of Sayomi's ring.
"I don't think he stole the ring. There would be no point, but the only way to find out is to find him." Sayomi shrugged and started to look around. She sighed. In theory she could summon her box weapon her, but creating a large house that covers the general area would require alot of mist flames, much more than she has.
"I guess that's the case." Sayomi said as she started to walk around and look around. "Any idea where the others are?" Sayomi asked.

He again sat on a roof, panting and looking at the sky, thinking that it was going to get dark soon. He wondered how everyone else's search is going, as it was probably better than his. With his glasses on, he read the screen on them as he looked around, but still nothing showed up. He was tired as he could feel his eyes drift down, but it also seemed that he was hungry as his stomach could be heard from a good distance. Just as he was about to give up, he heard the cry of some kind of bird which startled him. His glasses started to beep and talk to him. *Mist Flames Detected; Locking ON* Ken got up and saw that this bored was made of mist flames and it was speeding towards a direction that he did not look in. Ken smirked and sighed to himself, thinking that this day might never end, as he raced on the rooftops
When he finally witnessed the bird on top of a girl's head, he saw that she was covered in mist flames, while a number of people surrounded her. Ken was smart enough to realized that he was late to this party. He shook his head in embarrassing, dropping down from the roof and smirking. "How am I the last one to find out?" He chuckled, as it seemed he was this situation very lightly. He saw Sayomi, Iroka, and Rin as he waved to them though they was another person who he did not recognize. But the look of the group, it seemed that Sheeka was explaining to the group about what really happened.

"I'm not the best at keeping track of people." he said with a shrug. It was true. He wanted to run and be free and with that you didn't keep an eye on people. You just ran. That was his life. That was his purpose. That was who he was. It seemed off he'd be trying to capture anyone, but there were a few things he wouldn't let happen. One was the work of his former family members being stolen. The mare rings had been hard to gain. He tried to think about Sheeka's mother. Perhaps he acted in a similar way to her. If so then he'd hide in plain sight, but go a bit too far with the disguise. He considered this for a moment.
"He'll be in a crowd somewhere. I'm sure of it. Disguised by quite a high level of mist flames" he said to her, thinking about the best places nearby that might have a high enough crowd. He nodded. "How good are you at seeing through illusions Ningyo?"
It seemed this would not be needed though as he heard the voice of one of the others from nearby. He turned his head slightly and saw Kentaro. With a slightly closer look he noticed a girl with a bird on her head and a few others. Had they found him that easily? With that he nodded to Sayomi and beckoned her to follow him.
"Sheeka. Why a girl? I mean seriously." he said with a shake of his head. Though the group probably couldn't see it because the flames were tiny, very thin hairs were checking likely places for the ring. There didn't seem to be any except the one he had used to make the illusion. "You don't have the ring do you? Who does?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,350,true][STYLE=float: left; width: 100px; height: 100px; margin-right: 5px; margin-top: 5px;][/style][/classy][STYLE=width: 400px; text-align: justify; font: normal 11px arial; line-height: 90%; padding-bottom: 10px] Rin held her ground as Sheeka turned and began to speak, agreeing and questioning how it was that she had managed to see through his illusion. While she would admit it was well constructed, even without his Mare Ring (which she mentally noted), the young woman only let out a faint chuff as if the answer should have been obvious. "You think I spent these past few weeks learning absolutely nothing?" She questioned with a smirk. "You can change your appearance, but you can't change your habits. Once I'd narrowed down the search locations, I simply had to follow the unexpected and then pick the cutest thing I could find, because the only way to disguise someone who was already cute, is with something even more over the top." Rin deduced from him, though the thinking was perhaps a little twisted, there was something almost ingenious about being able to reach such a conclusion. Then again, the Varia hadn't made her an offer in the past for nothing, her skills were nothing to sneeze at.
Before Rin got a chance to respond though, a familiar voice cut in and her attention shot to Jae, who approach as her expression showed a clear sign of shock. "Voi! What the heck are you doing here?!" She yelped in shock. No, this was not what she needed right now. Why did it have to be him? Couldn't he see that she was working! Sheeka shushed him and attempted not to draw to much attention to themselves, not that Rin could blame him. She had found it, it was therefore her job to take him back to Rai. Sheeka soon began to explain about how he was innocent and that someone had stolen the ring, using an illusion of him to frame him. While it was plausible and Rin wanted to believe him, she also had a duty not to allow him to fall into the hands of any of the other agents from Spiaggia. She couldn't just allow him to wander the streets free, in the event that he was lying. If he tried to run for it though, she would have to chase him.
However, a smirk played across her lips at his threat. He sure barked a lot for someone that wasn't big enough to fight someone like her. "Don't go threatening me, kid. Your already in hot water." Rin spoke in slight warning, not about to be bullied into anything and certainly not by someone who was smaller than her. "If that was the case, you should have reported back to Rai, We could have helped you locate the one's responsible, but in your panic, you've simply done exactly what they wanted. Now, there's no telling what kind of trouble has been stirred up." She explained, reaching up with a sigh to rub her temple in irritation. She wanted to help Sheeka, but this was a bad situation, hands down.
It was about then, that the Mist Falcon came into view and returned to Sheeka, pecking him as he struggled to get answers. Rin looked on skeptically as he apologized and questioned how Raitaro was going. "Who do you think it was that sent me out here?" Rin questioned, recalling the look of concern on the boss' face and the worry he must have been going through at the possibility that Sheeka could be hurt or worse. However, before Rin could really get anymore information out of the Mist user, she was once again interrupted by the other Guardians. Not that Rin didn't like the family, but she was rather accustomed to handling these missions on her own. She didn't need their help or input to find him, nor any of them arriving late to steal the glory of her catch.
"Voi! Took you all long enough." Rin shot back, rather annoyed by the second interruption and already in a bad mood from having to chase someone around the city. Moving over to put a hand on Sheeka's shoulder, though whether more out of protectiveness or defensiveness seemed unclear, her pride wasn't about to let him vanish or have anyone snatch him away after her hard work. "I already found him, the rest of you aren't necessary, so let me finish what I started." She ordered seriously, more than capable of handling what Rai had assigned her to do, which was to find Sheeka, by any means necessary.
Besides, on the off chance Sheeka was right about being a set up by potential enemies of the family, she couldn't afford to have any in-line guardians posing a threat to uncovering the truth. The last thing they needed was someone getting in her way or worse, intentionally sabotaging their attempts to find the Mare Ring of the Mist. She'd allow to Rai to deal with his questionable actions when this was over, but the matter of recovery now took priority over everything else at the moment. In the wrong hands, there was no telling what those Rings could do, so it was their job to get them back. Preferably, before anything else went wrong, though that seemed to be impossible, considering how horrible they already were.
