[classy=appfield] PERSONALITY :: [/classy]
Kentaro is a genuinely happy person. Through most times, a bright smile is shown upon his face. He firmly believes that, no matter how hard a situation may be, facing it with a gloomy or angry demeanor doesn't help. Even when he has been wronged, he tends to face the person with a cheery attitude and an open-mind, looking past their actions, which are ephemeral, and into who they are. Sometimes this can go too far, and endanger himself, but he believes that facing a person with malice and spite is only a way to hurt others, including those you care about. Closely related to his cheerful demeanor, Ken is a rather carefree person. Facing one's worries and problems too seriously only brings about pain. This is something Ken believes, and lives by. Entering a situation light-heartedly, in an attempt to make it as easy and enjoyable for everyone involved, is what Ken believes to be the best approach. As such, he tends to seem as if he has very few worries or cares in the world, though in reality he simply seems no reason to fret over them constantly. Sometimes, he can go too far, and let his guard down as he isn't cautious enough. Confidence in himself, a belief that he can accomplish what he sets his mind to, is key to performing to the best of his abilities. Arrogance is unacceptable--he knows his limits, his skills, and what he's trained for his entire life. Overestimating yourself only endangers those who matter to you, is what Ken believes. Confidence in your friends, too, is important. A belief that he can trust them, and that they will prevail in whatever endeavor they might attempt.

[classy=appfield] MISC INFO :: [/classy]
When Ken was growing up, the world of the mafia was all around him. He was constantly put in danger as a kid, he and his brother. His brother Daisuke and himself being twins. His father was a subordnate to an unknown, small time mafia family, while his mother was basically a maid, but the family did whatever they could to survive during the mafia times. Ken, learned how to fend for himself, with his father teaching Ken the ways of martial arts, and Daisuke at an early age. Where Ken hadnt been the one to do anything, and Daisuke could pick things up very quickly. Daisuke took over the responsibility for him.
When Ken and Daisuke where five, perhaps about a month after their birthday, their parents got in something to deep. The small mafia family his parents had been working for, took them as a threat. All of them. So, the mafia decided that they had to go, the quickest way, was death. Ken's family, were fighters, but none of them had things like rings or box's. Ken's mother and father, were murdered in cold blood in front of the twins. Though, they had been hiding when it happened. It broke Ken, and Daisuke, he would never be the same.
The two fled into the forest. They ran until they couldn't no more. It wasn't enough though, the mafia wanted to make sure everyone was dead. As they hid, something caught Ken's attention. They thought there was only one son. Because, he and Ken looked so much alike, they hadn't realized that there were two of them. Ken looked down then at his brother. One of them would die. He knew that truth. He went to look back at Daisuke but his brother wasn't in sight. Ken turned back around. He had walked right out to them crying. They didn't stop. Ken watched as his brother was impaled with a flaming arrow.
Ken wanted to cry out but nothing came from his mouth. Something struck within him at the loss of his twin. Without realizing it he had fainted because of the strong bond the two had shared. He wouldn't wake up till a few hours later. When he did, he would find his brother's and his parents bodies being burned in a pile, as if they were nothing more than trash. There were only two people there watching the bonfire. Ken didn't know what happened before he pulled a switchblade from his pocket.
He dropped down and slashed open the necks of the two unsuspecting men. Ken's face was lined with tears as he watched the fire roar with his families bodies burning inside. He didn't care about the horrible smell it made or that he was probably going to die too now. He turned when he heard a noise. He struck out with his knife, but someone caught his wrist twisting it behind his back and causing him to drop the blade. He cried out in soft pain as he was forced to the ground.
That was when a soft voice reached his ears. "You must be very scared. Losing your family at such a young age." a man's voice spoke. At the sound of it, for some reason the boy couldn't understand, his body relaxed under the pressure the man put on it to hold him down. He didn't know why his body was reacting in such a way. He listened to the man as he proclaimed himself to be a man, from Naminori. Ken just wished for death at that point.
"Let me help you. I will teach you the ways of the mafia, but I will not teach you the way to kill, only the way to survive." he said. He released Ken and slowly stood back up. The purple haired boy still had tears running down his face. He got up slowly. He looked at the bonfire one last time before turning to the man and following him off into the night. He was leaving everything behind.
For most of his life, the man put him into training. He trained him everywhere, prepared him for any situation, even if he didnt show any initiative to do anything, the man gave him a purpose in life again. To protect others that became close to him, and to protect those that needed help. Because of the many places they went, Ken got into the habit of wearing long coats and things like that. No matter where he went, a coat was present with him.
He grew up learning that he possessed the sky flame, and how other flames came along after that. It would be when the boy was 15, that an accident happened. The duo got caught up in a battle they couldn't run from. Ken fought with grace and was taking down many guards, the man was dealing with the leader of the group. Ken looked back from his own battle to see his own master fall back from a mist flamed attack.
As he saw his master fall, he blindly attacked the leader, beating him into a pulp before leaving with his master in his hands. They found a grassy area, where Ken laid him down and stood by him during his last moments of life. After all these years, Ken never knew the real man's named and finally asked for it, to which he replied Giatta, which made Ken smile. Giatta told Ken to use his talents to save those in need, but never to kill in cold blood. He grabbed his pocket and pulled out a ring and a box for him, saying that these were made especially for him, and told him to go to Nanimori, saying that he will find those just like him, looking for peace.
