[classy=appbox]
[classy=appfield] FLAME ATTRIBUTE & ABILITIES :: [/classy]
LIGHTNING!
Raitaro's natural flame is the green Lightning Flame, meaning he's naturally inclined to hardening himself for defence and piercing for attack... which is a shame since he so rarely utilised these abilities that he can't use it to anywhere NEAR the standard expected of him.
Shock Touch
His first special ability with it is to generate it from his hands without a ring, but this itself is useless unless he happens to have a pole like item nearby. This helps him circumvent the fact he lost his ring (Wait, wait, we mean it was 'stolen' yeah, stolen, good thing I used strike through on.... OH CRAP) as any thing like a spear he grabs can be turned into a very hard piercing weapon that electrocutes people, essentially weaponising anything he can get his hands on. The ability doesn't work so well on people, the best he can do is tase someone but this doesn't work on anyone stronger than a civilian. Amusingly, he can also do it to power his guitar and amp so he can do 'Quasi-accoustic' live performances.
Undead Body
While not the same as the Arcobaleno Skull's ability, it is worth mentioning that Raitaro is pretty damn close in application as a result of his subconscious flame usage. Because of his personality, Raitaro is subject to collossal amounts of abuse but rarely appears to react to it. Some assumed this was the result of comedic effect but the truth is far stranger, it seems his ability to conduct Dying Will Flames has meant his entire body is constantly being coated in solidifying lightning flames. This can be best demonstrated by his frighteningly high pain tolerance and the fact blows to the head seem to just bounce off his far stronger skull, sustaining gunshot wounds cause large bruises but don't break the skin. While it's pretty useful defensively (as in, his entire body can sustain injuries usually reserved for taking down a tank) there is an offensive plus to it as well. Because his body is incredibly solid he's able to strike with greater ferocity and is comparable to fighting a man made of metal.
There is a downside to this, while it doesn't take very much of his flame energy, it is always on and the more trauma he survives the weaker it gets and the less flames he has to use. Raitaro doesn't tend to use his flames very often because at his current level, it's difficult to do more than open his box and solidify his spear before he begins to feel the strain. It's also only as good as his willpower, meaning if he gives in then it's easier to damage him and attacks wth Dying Will Flames are only weakened rather than completely endured. On the plus side, if he ever learns to control it he could switch it off and would likely have a much larger pool of Dying Will Flames to use for abilities.
[classy=appfield] BOX WEAPON :: [/classy]
Rakuraku- One of his family's personal heirlooms, originally used by his mother Raitaro inherited it years ago. It resembles a Japanese style Yari with a green pole which is perfect since it's what Rai normally uses but since he lost (I mean, whatever that story was he said earlier) his ring he can't use it's very useful 'hide in the Mare Ring' trait, so he's got a very useful weapon, but only if he happened to be carrying a 6 foot pole with him when he was attacked. It didn't appear to have any inherent special attributes besides being able to channel flames well (but so can pretty much anything), but it was pretty much the perfect fit for Rai's Spear technique so he never really looked into it until recently.
Turns out, whatever material the Spear is made of can be converted into Lightning Dying Will flames, hence it's convenient storage inside a Mare Ring. The other minor bonus to this is it's possible to turn the spear's head in Lightning Flames so rather than cutting the opponent in half they can be shocked instead. Which is easier on Rai than just straight up murdering them.
Ability:
Raitaro's abilities are all advanced skills in Inazuma style Soujutsu, meaning he can use them with weapons other than Raku Raku but their effectiveness is seriously hampered, only about 50% as effective. They also all require one post set-up while he adopts the stance needed for the waza.
Hitotsu no Waza: DENKOUISSEN Rakuraku's special attack is to allow Rai to travel at incredible speeds and, in his own words, 'ride the lightning'. Only good for one strike, it's one strike that is a flash like lightning which earned him his name, the exact speed isn't measured but it's pretty impossibly fast. After each blow it has to 'recharge' direct from Rai and this takes about 2 posts in cool-down with Raku Raku and 4 with a different spear, He has to adopt the correct stance for the technique before so 1 to prepare, as with all his moves. The best come
Noticably, this technique can be used with other spears but they lack the ability to channel the hardening aspect of Lightning Flames and so shatter with every use. The other handicap is, even though it's incredibly fast, Rai doesn't want to kill anyone so he never goes for death-blows unless the situation is incredibly dire. With Raku-Raku's newly realised trait, he's realised that the main reason this works is the Spear turns into flames during the slash helping it to endure the movement but also meaning it's non-lethal. Amusingly means that when Raku Raku impacts it's literally a flash of lightning so it'll shock opponents rather than cut them.
Futastu no waza: Hekirekiuzi
(lit. Thunder-clap Maelstrom/whirlpool) an ability Raitaro inherited from his mother, it's a tricky technique and heavily relient on using Dying Will Flames which is why Raitaro hasn't attempted it. The user takes an open stance with the spearhead pointing at the opponent before releasing as much tension as possible and usually emitting Dying Will Flames through whatever means they have available (ring, weapon, etc), the technique itself is a flurry of spear thrusts of incredible strength and speed, compared most easily to a gatling gun. It functions best with Lightning Flames due to the pressure the weapon goes under when in use and adding the piercing quality. The name comes from both the spiral pattern the thrusts can take when used continuously and from the fact the final thrust creates a sonic-boom by pushing forward at such a speed that the impact often sends opponent's flying.
Now, naturally there are two flaws to this which both make it limited in usage. One is, strangely, range. The move requires 1 post to set up as Raitaro assumes the stance and begins emitting flames giving anyone with good sense time to get out of the way. If you stand 10 feet away from him, Raitaro's spear is 6 feet and he can shuffle forward 3, but moving more than once breaks both concentration and stance so the technique breaks. The second is it uses a lot of Dying Will Flames to continiously harden, sharpen, and fire the thrusts forward and Raitaro isn't known for his resolve. If he isn't 100% resolute the move's effectivness drops, unless he's completely motivated the move lacks the sonic boom at the end and the speed is reduced by enough that it's possible to counter (at full power, blocking or evading are the only options). It takes 5 posts to recharge after use as well due to flame consumption. Obviously, when done without Raku Raku, the spear breaks after a few thrusts and is noticably slower still.
Saigou no Waza: Honokiri no Yari
The last spear technique that Raitaro's mother invented, Honokiri no Yari, translates to Flame Cutting Spear and it's intended purpose is simply to give a fighter with little Dying Will Flame abilities a weapon to fight back with. Using what Lightning Flames the user has, they focus them on the tip of the spear and converts it into incredibly dense lightning flames creating an effect called "Hekishoku Yarisaki" or "Emerald Spearhead", Saya's hitman title when she joined Spiaggia. This ultra dense blade of flames is intended to slice clean through other Dying Will Flames, unlike Storm's degeneration the goal is to cleave a path through for the user rather than to destroy the attack itself. Unlike the rest of Raitaro's moves, this one has to be done with Raku Raku as fighting with improvised weapons it's impossible to attain Hekishouku Yarisaki. Obviously, aside from Dying Will Flames, it can also cut just about anything, meaning that for a brief time Raitaro is borderline untouchable. Usually before it runs out the common method of dispersal is to slash and send out a crescent of Lightning Flames to slice the enemies' flames before the spear returns to normal. While it's useful, it isn't very often used.
The reason being that it takes both a phenomenal level of concentration, flamepower and skill to maintain the ability. Saya herself could manage 5-10 minutes, Raitaro can with effort manage 1. In post terms, he can keep Hekishouku Yarisaki active for 3 posts provided IC less than a minute passes, but if his concentration is thrown he loses the spearhead in seconds. It takes 1 post to concentrate the spearhead into place, but he can only use the ability once per 24 hours. Yup, the downside to this move is that he can only use it once per fight (though if he's using it, the fight really should be over by the end of it) and it also uses up all his Dying Will Flames leaving him with just enough to maintain Undead Body and stay alive but not enough to utilise any other abilities.
[classy=appfield] BOX ANIMAL :: [/classy]
Pappagalino di Fulmine- Affectionately nicknamed Madason for reasons known only to Rai, Madason is a small green Budgerigar (OOC: I have no idea how to spell that) who's prime ability according to Rai is 'pooping'. Or to quote him directly 'Box Animals don't even need to eat, there is no excuse for this much poop, it's ridiculous, more poop comes out than food goes in, it defies reality'. While it would be nice to think Madason's main ability is exrecement, his true skill is about as stupid. By landing on something he can 'harden' it by conducting Lightning Flames through it. If this is done on an inanimate object all is well as the object is now super hard and almost impossible to break. So, obviously Rai tried this on himself and got electrocuted. Yes, as before, Lightning Dying Will Flames only work on inorganic things (so to speak, it could still shock someone if they let the budgie land on them)
Ability:
Pew-Pew Proof that Rai has no common sense. Madason lands on Rai's finger and with his mouth open absorbs Rai's flames and fires a beam of Lightning Dying Will Flames to pierce through whatever he's pointing at. Rarely used seriously, the attack is actually the strongest in Rai's aresenal as it can pierce through a steel door with ease and is effectively a laser gun. Needless to say, his father nearly disowned him when he saw him using this.
[classy=appfield] EQUIPMENT :: [/classy]
Lightning Mare Ring: It may be lost but it's still something he technically owns. As part of the Tri-Ni-Set, the Mare ring is capable of channelling much larger amounts of flames than normal rings and is compatible with Carnage Boxes.

[classy=appfield] MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS :: [/classy]
Cell-phone, House-keys, Electric Guitar occasionally, he has a collection of spears he might take with him if Raku-Raku seems excessive, anything he can get his hands on to use as a last resort if he's unarmed, birdseed and occasionally his black book of all the hot girls in the region
