The Inazuma family dojo, the proud Kanji displaying the school's name lay on a board propped over the doorway. It was a matter of great consternation for the master that Namimori was rumoured to contain a master of the Shigure Souen style, as he was getting older in age he needed someone to take over the style. Spear VS Sword, it was a young man's game, if he were to be challenged for the sign now the entire family could be rendered destitute... even know, the few students they had were from rich families and even then they just wanted to learn how to use a spear so they could boast of mastering a dead art. What was the world coming to.
He was sitting on the wooden veranda that surrounded the main training hall and sighed deeply, hands tucked neatly inside his sleeves. He needed to pass on the dojo, he needed it to be inherited. He could leave it to a student but then his family would have run it's course, the noble Inazuma style of Spear fighting would just be a title, meaningless... his eldest son could be left it, he was talented enough certainly but he wasn't the best. Unfortunately, the greatest student of the Inazuma was also the least suited to inherit the place...
"Hey pops, I'm off out, don't wait up" the lazy grin and messy hair of his idiot son as he left to do god-knows what in town. Of course he couldn't hold his tongue
"Oii, Raitaro! Where are you thinking of going?"
"Hmm? Ahh, uhh, nowhere in particular..."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I'm just so fickle, never know where I'm going until I leave" the enormous faked laugh of a man who was quite obviously lying was the final note as Raitaro left, his father despairing. If only he'd dedicate himself...
----
"New.... guitar...." Raitaro sighed, his nose pressed up against the glass as he ogled the Ibanez in the window. He'd been saving for a few weeks now but he wasn't anywhere close to buying it, he had about 4000 yen right now, he needed almost 30,000. He sighed, maybe he should do what his dad recommended and do some work-for-hire, bodyguard a rich kid or something or teach them self-defence. He sighed, relaxing against the glass window of the music store as Madason chirped happily and landed on his shoulder
"What should we do buddy?"
"-chirpchirp"
"Go to school? Oh, yeah... ehh, they can do without me, it's not like anyone funs in my class anyway." Rai shrugged deciding to go for a stroll around town. See if anyone else was about, even if they'd likely be delinquents cutting class.
