He shoved his hands into his jacket pocket and looked up at the sky. In truth, not a piece of the sky was visible through the clouds and yet there was a certain spring in his step. Today was going to be an eventful day. A piece of his search may very well end here. He was out and about because he was answering a recent summons. One of his acquaintances had decided to take up his offer for a free meal. A hopeful smile found its way onto Takumi's face: he would attempt to parley a friendly meal into a guardian. He had brought some pursuasive moral support along just in case, but he was confident that he could argue his own case well enough.
Even if he says no to Guardianship, |
Takumi mused to himself, it's nice to finally have people to just go get a bite to eat with. Even if I'm paying... That last sentence he had accidentally said aloud rather than thought. At last he reached the place the exchange student had mentioned. By letting him choose the venue, Takumi would be able to choose the time. It was early in the morning and the place would not be open for another 20 minutes but Takumi would rather be early than late. Choosing a bench out in the open in the hopes of getting some sun, Takumi sat down and took out his virtual pet. He fed it, stowed it in his pocket and proceeded to watch the cars pass by until the exchange student showed up. He had a plan. Horribly primitive and incredibly dangerous, but still a plan. Takumi and Valdus were never ones to communicate with words... [/div][/style] TEMPLATE BY CIPHER

Why is it that whenever the prospect of food is mentioned Valdus' mouth moves as if it were disconnected to his brain?
Albino hair, swift paced footsteps and the sound of grumbling can be seen and heard from Valdus as he cut through the shopping districts like a divine arrow looking for something to pierce. He had a frown on his features and a rebellious slouch, nothing new, nothing special, to him anyways. To the cloud guardian this stance was nothing but norm, but to the civilians who were innocently out on their arduous daily routines Valdus was like the plague-- something to be avoided. The scowl on his face told as much.
'This is stupid, and everything is stupid,' Valdus fumed, stomping dangerously and with more force each step he took. A smoking man in his forties bumped into him at this point, but with one swift pull and throw Valdus sent the man soaring towards the nearest food stand, not even stopping to watch the chaos unravel. He was going to eat with this Saito boy and get back as soon as possible, no strings attached. He didn't want to converse, didn't want to affiliate, didn't want to have anything to do with the wretched citizens of Namimori.
Yet here he was, maneuvering himself to navigate across a busy shopping district with nothing but the prospect of free food in his mind. Saito said he was paying, and that was the sole reason of Valdus' presence. The albino male growled for the upteenth time that day, never pausing in his brisk pace to look around or ask for directions. He knew where he was going… or at least he thought he did.
Soon enough a familiar head of brown hair caught his eye. Trailing the sight downwards Valdus saw the face he was looking for. Takumi Saito, the boy who convinced him to eat out in such a clamorously crowded place.
Wordlessly Valdus stepped forward. He need not words to let others notice his presence. Oh no, he simply stood there until he ran out of patience waiting for the person to turn and face him. Almost excitedly Valdus began counting down in his mind just a few feet away from Saito, 'Five… Four… Three…'
Three more seconds, and hell was going to break loose.
